Apostate

I was a child-preacher; I know the tome.
I know of the Pharisees; & of Rome.

I know of the garden: Adam & Eve.
I know about Job & of his reprieve.

I’ve known of the psalms & revelations.
I know about Isaac’s trepidation.

I’m learned on Heaven & up on Hell.
I know what Judas was trying to sell.

A book has sparked war with every nation.
I know it calls me: abomination.

That was enough for me to be knowing.
“Big Church” now reaps just what it’s been sowing.
