Why so eager to speak for me?
Can’t abide the silence word free?
Just when grasped the thought that had slipped…
Oxygen’s conscripted from lips.
No new point, just the last’s remix.
Patience swatted for speaker’s fix.
Each sacrificed hot breath to points;
Pushes my train of thought off joints.
Watch it diminish in distance, grown weak.
Still seen; but too far off to speak.
One, is recovered. Two, is strained.
Three, then there’s nothing there to gain.
Conversation, for me, time free.
I give up when you speak to me.
