If we’re visited by aliens;
Oh, Please let them bring strong medicines.
We hope they bring us the keys for peace.
We’d prefer they not cause life to cease.
We can’t get to them; they come to us.
So, we think their arrival’s a plus.
Able to span the expanse of stars.
No road rage if they’re the only cars.
We are a mess & you know it’s true.
Though, outside help just might do…
The trick of strangers: suddenly heard.
New noble science & peace assured.
Still, there’s a chance they would mean us harm.
But, we’re best at that; to their alarm.
